Wild & Sour Beer Tasting
Continue celebrating ABQ Beer Week by joining Jubilation for an amazing Wild & Sour Beer Tasting on Friday, May 24th from 4 pm to 6 pm, featuring three local breweries: Steel Bender, Bow & Arrow, and Rowley Farmhouse Ales.
We will be sampling Rowley’s:
– Almost Native Sour Gose: a spontaneously fermented gose brewed with Mexican sea salt and spiced with citrusy Aja Amarilla peppers, saffron, and Indian coriander.
– Greyscale: a funk-forward Grisette ale bittered with Citra Hops and whirlpooled with Mosaic Hops.
– Grandissant 4x Cerise: a golden sour ale aged in Chardonnay barrels refermented with a 50/50 blend of Colorado Montmorency and Bing Cherries at a rate of 4 pounds per gallon.
– Arigato Gosemasu: a plum gose using salted Japanese plums.
From Bow & Arrow we will be tasting:
– Cosmic Arrow Saison: with Brettanomyces aged in wine barrels with complex fruity flavors and earthy undertones.
– Coyote Cool Red Saison: with Brettanomyces aged in oak barrels dry hopped with Chinook hops with notes of pineapple and juicy fruit with a bright finish.
– Guest of Honor: a Belgian style pale ale with Brettanomyces dry hopped with Simcoe Lupulin powder that bring out fruity aromas of peach and melon with earthy grassy notes.
From Steel Bender we will be tasting:
– Raspberry Dynamite: a kettle sour ale that’s fantastically fruit-forward with a tart raspberry finish.
– Ned’s Sour Pale: aged in oak with Brettanomyces that produces a mouth puckering experience with fruity, farmyard funk.
– Ned’s Sour Pale with Boysenberry: aged in oak with Brettanomyces that bring out tones of stone fruit with a softer farmyard funk.
– Cinderella Story: dry hopped Brett Saison brewed with barley and wheat malts dry hopped with Azacca, El Dorado, Elle, and Maridian hops.
Enjoy the fresh hop characteristics and also put some in the cellar to experience the evolution of the Brett. Cheers!
